Step Up for Women Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program Open Enrollment Session

West Virginia Women Work, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, will be holding our Spring Step Up for Women Construction Pre-Apprenticeship cohort beginning on Feb 27, 2023. This program is designed to provide women with the skills and experience needed to succeed in the construction industry. The Step Up program is a Free 12-week, intensive training program that covers a variety of topics, including construction math, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, hand and power tool usage, and OSHA safety standards. Upon completion of the program, participants will be eligible to apply for apprenticeships with local unions and contractors. We will be holding an open enrollment session where you can learn more about our program, apply, and interview on the spot. Bring your driver's license, social security card, birth certificate, and DD214 if applicable. If you or someone you know is interested and cannot make it to the open enrollment session, please apply at westvirginiawomenwork.org/apply and one of our program coordinators will be in contact shortly for an interview.
