Amateur Photo Contest - Monongalia County Fair

Description

The Monongalia County Fair announces the 2019 Amateur Photo Contest; consisting of both a youth and adult level competition. Youth entries are limited to ages 15 and under. Entries will be accepted in person at the Hazel and J.W. Ruby Community Center at the fairgrounds at Mylan Park on August 11 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

Categories for the photo contest are:

• People
• Floral
• Nature
• Black and White
• Monongalia County Scenery
• Animals • Miscellaneous
• Digitally Enhanced
• Mobile Photos

Prizes will be awarded in each category and will be:

• First Place - $50 All Pro Photography Gift Certificate
• Second Place - $25 All Pro Photography Gift Certificate
• Third Place - $10 All Pro Photography Gift Certificate
• Overall Best of Show - $100 All Pro Photography Gift Certificate

Additional rules and regulations:

• Photos should be a minimum of 5” x 7” and a maximum of 8” x 10”
• No “professional” photographers may enter
• Photo matting is required and presentation counts toward your overall score. Printing and photo matting services are available at All Pro Photography (160 Pleasant Street)
• Photos in frames will not be accepted
• Photos of an adult nature will not be accepted
• Photos taken prior to 2017 will not be accepted
• Each photo shall be marked on the back with the following information:
  • Photographers Name
  • Phone Number
  • Category
  • Youth or Adult
  • Where Taken
  • Year Taken

The Monongalia County Fair is not responsible for photos damaged during the fair. Photos can be picked up on Sunday, August 18th from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Photos left following that date will become property of the Monongalia County Fair.
