Description
The 31st Annual Day of Caring, which will feature hundreds of volunteers helping in the community at various project sites, will start Wednesday, May 10. It is sponsored by Summit Community Bank. Projects will be scheduled at different locations all across Monongalia and Preston counties. Day of Caring is an annual event hosted by the United Way of Mon and Preston Counties. It's the area's largest volunteer project happening on a single day and bringing people together to create positive change in our community. From 11-11:30 a.m. May 10, there will be a kickoff event at Monongalia County Ballpark, where volunteers can pick up their T-shirts and a light lunch before heading out to the service projects. Most service projects will take place between noon and 5 p.m. Volunteer sign-ups are available at VolunteerMPC.org. Thank you, Summit Community Bank, for sponsoring this event!
